Forum Rules
- Member names and/or avatars must not contain website or e-mail addresses or any similar contact information (e.g. telephone numbers)
- Member names and/or avatars must not contain swear words or other offensive materials, nor must they appear to impersonate another individual or organisation
- Members must not use multiple accounts to disrupt the learndirect forums or harass other users
- Members must not post a message which could harm any computer system
- The forum must only be used to discuss careers advice, courses, re-training and related topics
- The forums are not an appropriate place for specific complaints. If you have a complaint about a learning provider or any aspect of learndirect services, please use our complaints procedure.
Messages may be subject to moderation if they
- Are likely to offend, provoke or attack other users
- Are considered sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable
- Contain swear words* or language likely to offend other users
- Break the law, condone the breaking of the law or encourage others to break the law
- Breach copyright of materials posted to the forums or link to websites breaching copyright of materials published on them
- Include contact details of an individual, for example phone numbers or addresses
- Describe or encourage behaviour which may endanger the safety of other forum users
- ‘Spam’ the forum – publishing multiple identical (or materially similar) messages to one or more areas of the forum
- Are off-topic for the learndirect forums – i.e. do not relate to discussions around careers advice, courses, re-training and related topics
- Advertise products or services which are off-topic for the learndirect forums
- Contain links to websites which are considered off-topic for the learndirect forums
- Are written in languages other than English
*our forum software automatically filters inappropriate language out of messages, however messages that contain language which has been filtered (and therefore is not displayed to the public) may still be subject to moderation.
