Adult Learners' Week 17 - 23 May
Try something new this Adult Learners’ Week
Whether you want to gain new skills or qualifications to get a promotion at work, or want to learn more about a subject you’re interested in, adult learning could be the ideal solution. There are almost a million courses available in the UK, and there is no better time to enquire than now as Adult Learners’ Week (17 – 23 May) is approaching and there will be many free taster sessions available all over the country as part of the activity. To find an event in your area visit www.alw.org.uk/calendar
Once you have decided on a topic of interest you can either choose to make a regular commitment, or learn whenever it suits you. You can choose the times you want to learn, day or evening, and how long your course lasts – whether it’s for a few hours or over several years.
You can learn anywhere, from traditional settings such as colleges and libraries, to museums, or even at work.
